Awe Inspiring Artists | Day o4 of 11: Ryuichi Ogino

This is the fourth of a series of 11 artists I will be showcasing this month. Ryuichi Ogino (荻野竜一), like Benjamin Zhang Bin, is yet another great artist I discovered many years ago on Guu Press. His cute monster characters are easy to fall in love with as is his primitive way of handling them, but don’t let that fool you. Ogi can definitely draw. His often used pastel color palette makes him a favorite. Ogi was also a huge influence in terms of my style and typography as a GFX tagger many years back. I would love to have any of his paintings or toy figures as a part of my home.
